In the height of the summer heat, the Water Park at Bohrer Park serves as a haven for local families. In addition to its massive pool, complete with a shallow wading area for little ones, it boasts a variety of fun water features that help kids of all ages and their grown-ups stay nice and cool.
Come to the water park the next time you have a sunny afternoon to kill. It’s open every day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and passes start at just $6 for Gaithersburg residents. There’s a mini golf course nearby in Bohrer park, and you can add a round of golf to your admission for just a few dollars more. So play a round on the mini-links before hitting the pool and splashing around beneath its faux palm trees, which double as fountains. Older kids will also love the various water slides (there are various sizes for different thrill levels). With a large “beach” area with ample shade, there’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the warm weather.
